2011/12 Vote

One more poll to round off the year. Vote for your favourite film from the winners of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. As with previous polls the percentage of the vote from the previous round will be used as a tie-breaker and the poll will be open for one week.

The three films to choose between are:

X-Men: First Class (44%)
Die Hard (38%)
The Hunger Games (33%)

There’s only one film with Michael Fassbender. What’s going on?

Lol.

And for the record, my vote was not made under duress.

The final results for the year are:

1st: Die Hard
2nd: X-Men: First Class
3rd: The Hunger Games

What a shocker :stuck_out_tongue:

Perhaps we should run two votes each term - so that the classics don’t walk all over the face of modern day hits.

In fairness it’s the first time a classic has won the end of year vote (previous winners were Gran Torino, Inglorious Basterds and Inception). The only other classic that even won the termly vote was Shawshank Redemption. I think the classics do better on the weekly level (although I can’t be bothered to go through all the old records to confirm that).

I think The Artist would have fared better than The Hunger Games in this poll: my vote would have been different, for one.

I may well have changed my vote too. (while die hard is my favourite film, I probably enjoyed the artist more on this occasion).
