Remakes that worked (according to Empire)

Not too impressed with Empire’s latest article. Quite a few of their “remakes that worked” would probably be on my list of 10 worst remakes.

Some of the worst choices on their list:

50: Italian Job
47: Assault on Precinct 13
46: Quarantine
40: Disturbia
27: War of the Worlds (I actually didn’t mind War of the Worlds but I know I’m in a minority)
26: King Kong
10: The Magnificent Seven (I know most people like it but I really don’t)

How on earth can they class The Italian Job as a successful remake I don’t even think that it is good film let alone a good remake

I love the way this article starts as a pile of sh*** then ends up with a load of good movies in the top ten.
