Hi Everyone,

This term we have a very tight turn around to confirm the programme so I’m putting this draft on here now so we can get some suggestions flowing before the programming meeting.

Thanks everyone!

Loving the all nighter ideas! I’m a twilight girly so I back that 100%

And it might fit in the spoofs all-nighter, but I would really like to see One Cut of the Dead on a big screen.

Really great job on the list btw :sparkling_heart:

I would love to watch Hundreds of Beavers on the big screen.

I know a lot of people who’d love to see Lawrence of Arabia on 70mm. Know you showed that at some point last year but could make a return? Would love to see Once Upon A Time In Hollywood on 35mm too. Random ones but feel like On The Waterfront, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Akira would be cool?

love the options we have so far it is looking good!!! initial thoughts list (that got slightly longer than i intended sorry )
absolutely back her/lost in translation double bill - going off how well chungking express/fallen angels did i think events like that are definitely worth having and they’re just cool!!
for new releases, would for sure back stuff like bird, conclave, we live in time, anora, a real pain etc - non exhaustive list but they seem to be doing fairly well out of festivals so far (especially anora)! too early to predict oscars probs but its maybe worth considering which ones might get a boost in people wanting to see it once nominations and that drop? stuff like we live in time already has enough of a buzz that i think it will do well. id also like to pitch a complete kingdom the bob dylan biopic because i dont think it will be good, necessarily, but the simple fact of it being a timothee chalamet bob dylan biopic means i am endlessly curious.
older releases - list looks super super good but at an initial glance i would love to see gentlemen prefer blondes/some like it hot/rear window on there for sure
lgbt history month - i know i had a bunch of thoughts but i have forgotten every single one. paris is burning is definitely a shout, as is happy together (couple possibilities i did manage to remember: but i’m a cheerleader, rurangi, a special day for something slightly older?)
finally, for 70mm and allnighter - would back amadeus for sure, women in film or spoof movies all nighter could be fun!! and the twilight one would definitely do well
that is all i have to say for now + again i love the list so far it is looking awesome!!

1 more thing that i forgot to add, w/ the caveat that neither of them have release windows more specific than ‘2025’ so might not be viable yet for this term - the history of sound (paul mescal josh o’connor period drama i think) + knives out 3 worth keeping an eye on?

Highly back Brutalist 70mm if we can get that. Also, Amadeus 70mm would be amazing. I also like the twilight all-nighter and I think it’s good to do a franchise one again now that last 2 have not been franchise. I am biased here but personally if i could do only one all-nighter, it would be LOTR all-nighter because I missed it last time we did it :sob: Also, I think we should defo show the new LOTR animated film if we can. Really like the her/lost in translation double bill as well
Great choices so far, soo excited to see where the schedule goes!

Another good double bill could be the Witch and The Lighthouse to coincide with the Eggers Nosferatu release

The LOTR all-nighter was brilliant, Also I definitely support showing the new LOTR animated film “The War of the Rohirrim” would be good.

I also think, Terminator 2 and Tim Burtons batman on 70mm would be fantastic, Spoof movie all-nighter would be cool too
