Now that Bond has seen off Jason Bourne, Austin Powers and some crap with singing, it’s time for another vote.
Forget Bond, forget Bourne, Bryan Mills is the new old secret agent of the decade (I just couldn’t resist…). Seriously though, I’m tearing myself between Volver and Taken. Oh and Pineapple Express was quite good stuff as well.
Blatantly Taken. Any film with a quote like, “Jean Claude, I’ll tear down the Eiffel Tower if I have to!” deserves your vote.
Volver was very good but lacked a certain something. That something is Liam Neeson kicking ass and taking names.
In fact I think Bryan Mills should be an option in the poll to end all polls. And Empire gave it 1 star… pfft (although they were right about Underworld 3 
).

It was either going to be Volver or City of Ember for me.
But as I didn’t re-watch Volver this week, and considering the disappointing figures for City of Ember (a most deserving film) I thought it deserved a little push!
