The first feature film

Out of curiosity I’ve been trying to find out what the first ever feature film was (a feature films, as opposed to a short, must be at least 40 minutes long). Wikipedia seemed to have the answer with The Story of the Kelly Gang (1906). However, I came across this film: The Life and Passion of Christ (1903), which predates it. Can anyone else can go earlier? IMDB isn’t much help as it seems a bit random as to when it classifies something as a short.

Try this on for size, Mr 20th century!
