This is an increasingly popular site which analyses your (or anyone’s) writing style and word choice and compares them with those of famous writers.
I recommend analysing as varied a selection of writers as you can imagine.
Apparently I write my thesis like Arthur C. Clarke and reviews like David Foster Wallace.
My blog is written like Arthur Clarke. More worryingly, my upgrade paper is written in Lovecraftian style…
I think this analyser is a bit of a one-trick pony: it told me that my reviews were in the style of Lovecraft, and a sample paragraph I wrote off the cuff was like David Foster Wallace.
There are about 30 writers in its database - hence my recommendation above.
Apparently, it’s just a random number generator
(And an advert for a vanity publisher )
I tried a couple of reviews and got the same answer for both.
